Silk Flowers - Band of Colour

This is a really exciting record. It’s like vocalist Aviram Cohen has decided he’s free of the studio and is hiding out in a run-down car park to record the vocals. Only when he gets there he bumps into a car and sets of the alarm, well, not to be out-done he just sings louder than the car alarm, albeit in full monotone groan, and crafts a perfect take. It actually sounds just as exciting as that. Band of Color is taken from Silk Flower’s upcoming album Ltd. Form, due out probably next year. Interestingly Silk Flowers feature none other than Peter Schuette, of Peter’s House Music fame. If you haven’t heard him check out the superb disco-clash hit The Mirror Has Two Faces.
