futuremix #2

Futuresoundstemporary - futuremix 2

Futuremix #2 sees Stephen Smith explore the dark and unruly world of atmospheric and psychedelic music. In it he takes you on a journey through some of the best music of the last few years that sits right on the edge of darkness. In oblivion we can master our thoughts, gather our strength and find fundamental understanding. So sit back and let the sound envelop you.

best coast – boyfriend

I’ve read everywhere this weekend that Pitchfork’s song of the week is Best Coast’s Boyfriend. And it’s literally been appearing in blogs whereever you look. And while it is a great song it hasn’t quite found as much favour with me: having recently returned from Glastonbury the only music I can listen to is experimental psychedelic music, preferably electronic, preferably transcendental. So I came upon Where Does Time Go by Oneohtrix Point Never, off of the album Returnal. To hell with guitar music for now, I’m going to go and trip out… listen here.
