24.05.10 // King Charles

Weekly Artist: King Charles

King Charles has been floating around the fringes of the Alt-Folk world for about a year now, having supported Mumford and Sons, released 2 singles; Love Lust and Time of Eternity, and played a great set at last years Glastonbury.

King Charles – Time Of Eternity by The Recommender

King Charles’ sound flicks between psych folk, sharing similarities with Devendra Banhart, to a more contemporary sound similar to the likes of Mumford and Sons. His image is as sharp as Prince and full of charm, which also comes across in his songs. His single Love Lust, released on mi7 Records, displays his sharpness and ability to write well produced songs whilst staying sincere. Something that is often lacking amongst his peers.

King Charles – Love Lust by The Recommender

King Charles will be spending the summer playing around the UK and if the reviews of his past performances are anything to go by I’d make sure you are there to witness the King Charles show.
